After a disastrous start of season, Advocaat wants a few more signings

Sunderland’s 3 opening matches of the season has seen them facing off with Leicester City, Norwich City and Swansea City. From all of those games, Sunderland sustained 2 defeats and had to settle with a draw against Swansea City, Dick Advocaat wants to bounce back from this disappointing start of the season and he thinks that signing new players can help them to recover.

Dick Advocaat is not happy about the state of his team and has even launched a hint at a possible departure from Sunderland unless the owner of the club meets his demands in relation to signing new players and reinforcing his squad which has been struggling so much in recent times.

“We have to improve and we can only improve if we get some other players in. We really need two or three more players. I have told everyone and I will keep saying it until the last day but not much has happened.

The Dutch manager continued on by praising the Sporting Director Lee Congerton but he did not mention the club owner Ellis Short as Dick Advocaat continued on by saying: ‘’Lee Congerton  is doing a great job with little money. We really appreciate what he has done so far  but we need more.”

During the 2014-15 Premier League season, Sunderland finished at the 16th spot as they collected a total of 22 points and managed to save themselves from the relegation zone by only a few points. Dick Advocaat wants to avoid going through another relegation threatening season such as the previous one and he believes that he can avoid it but he needs more signings that can reinforce his team.

Evergrande are reportedly close to announcing the signing of superstar Robinho

Chinese club Guangzhou Evergrande are reportedly close to announcing the signing of former Manchester City and Real Madrid superstar Robinho.

The 31-year-old recently announced that he would be leaving Santos yet again. Robinho has spent the last four seasons at the Brazilian club in some form or the other. It was widely thought that he would move to Santos on a permanent basis after engineering his exit from AC Milan much sooner than his contract had been stipulated. The recent boom in Brazilian football would also allow Santos to pay his astronomical wages, but that has been a major twist in the tale after Santos have lost out on his permanent signature.

It is still not clear as to why Robinho decided to quit Brazilian football once again, but he will now be playing forGuangzhou Evergrande. This will put him far from the prying eyes of the media for the time being. One of the major factors that led to his move toGuangzhou Evergrande is the presence of coach Luiz Felipe Scolari. The former Brazil national team boss holds a special relationship with some of the key Brazil players and this includes Robinho. His presence only recently helped the Chinese outfit sign Paulinho from Tottenham.
