Robinho Wants to Win

After finally winning the Italian Serie A title after such a long time, it seems that AC Milan are not looking to relinquish their position as the Champions any time soon. Their Brazilian forward Robinho has come out with the statement of that AC Milan are keen to reclaim the title for the second season in a row.  Whilst at the moment, it looks like it will be extremely hard to achieve this season (given that the likes of Juventus and Udinese seem far more powerful than they have been in the last few seasons), Milan can dream.

Robinho feels confident about retaining the title, mainly because of the strike duo of Robinho and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who have been scoring a lot of goals. Along with the return of Alexandre Pato from injury, their goals should help AC Milan in the quest for the second consecutive title.

Robinho also said that he is very much looking forward to the next game against Fiorentina, which is going to be very important, as it will help them close the gap on Juventus further. Juventus will not be playing this weekend and even though they will be having the extra game advantage, the mental advantage that the team can get by getting all three points against Fiorentina will be a great one.

Robinho said, “It is our aim to win as many matches as possible, so we return to the top of the table.  We are in a good position now, but want to be the best. We are playing well at the moment, and hopefully this will continue!  It will be difficult against the Viola – it’s never easy playing away from home, but we are always looking to win.”

AC Milan have not been that convincing away from home, but Robinho says that they can win against Fiorentina.  We shall see…
